Creating A "Learn Everything About One Thing" Page
Hello everyone, my name is Keisha from @k.moartsy.journals and for more art and journal inspiration you can find me on Instagram and TikTok at that handle.
I love learning new things and for the past year I’ve really been interested in bird watching. Bird watching, also known as “birding”, is the recreational activity of observing various species of birds in their natural habitats. Bird watching can also take place in various environments such as parks, and forests. So today, we are creating a “Learn everything about one thing page” and for the purposes of this blog my topic will be covering the Northern Cardinal. (This project is will be demonstrating the steps I will be taking to begin my documented journey with birdwatching.)
In this blog I will be sharing what a learn everything about one thing page is, what tools I used to create it, and how I designed the page.

So Here’s what you’ll need:
- Archer & Olive notebook (choose the size of your preference)
- Medium of choice (watercolor, colored pencils, and or markers).
- Pencil
- Black fine line pen
- Archer & Olive Acrylograph pens
- Stickers (optional)
What is a “Learn everything about one thing page?
A "Learn everything about one thing" page is a project that is an immersive learning experience where an individual dedicates time and effort to deeply explore a single topic. The purpose of this project is to gain a comprehensive understanding of that subject, often by researching various topics, such as the subjects history, current trends, and characteristics.I have a deep love and fascination for animals/nature and I enjoy learning new things, so creating a space for this project in my journal is truly immeasurable. The benefits of such a project will surely add a greater appreciation for animals and nature as well as providing an opportunity for me to use my creativity. Additionally, it can foster a sense of curiosity and a joy for lifelong learning.

How to design your Learn everything about one thing page:
The design of your page is totally up to you. You can dedicate more than one page to create this project, and it can also be tailored to your preferred style of learning. You could choose to have a more detailed approach by using a “bullet point method” however, I have chosen to use a “jot method” . This method is very informal which is perfect for adding more information over time and it allows more space for me to add art. Listed below are a few topics that you could use to help you get started:
- A city or state
- A particular country
- An author or artist
- A particular movie or book
- A particular car or form of transportation
- Historical event
- Political figures
- Animals
- Insects

As I have stated, my page will be dedicated to the Northern Cardinal. I have chosen to highlight the following:
- Male and Female physical characteristics
- Food Preferences
- Habitat
- Offspring
- Mating practices
- Miscellaneous facts

I’ve also chosen to add art to my page for a personal touch. Remember, there is no right or wrong way to create your "Learn everything about one thing" page. This method is simply an option for the creator who enjoys adding a little flair to their projects. Essentially, creating a page such as this can be informative and help you discover a new interest, so remember to just have fun with it !
