How To Create Cute Sushi Doodles In Your Bullet Journal

by Design Team 27 Jun 2021 0 Comments

Hey, Masha here from Masha Plans!

Welcome to another “Doodle With Me” post! Today we’ll be doing some of my favorite bullet journal doodles - sushi!

These doodles are similar to the stickers I designed for Archer and Olive, so while they are out of stock, you can try and doodle these cuties yourself.

SUPPLIES

Honestly, for doodling, all you need is a piece of paper and a black pen.

I personally prefer to doodle in notebooks though, because it allows me to keep the track of my progress, as well as serve as a great inspiration for future theme ideas.

My go-to doodling journal for now is a square journal by Archer and Olive. There is just something so satisfying in filling a square page with doodles!

If you decide to get a square journal for yourself, or pretty much anything from Archer and Olive - be sure to use code MASHA10 to get 10% off your order.

For these here I also used Tombow Dual Brush Pens to color my sushi.

HOW TO DOODLE

There is a free printable and a Doodle With Me video, but first let’s see some of my step by step tutorials.

And yes, I know I have some other types of Japanese food here, so technically it’s not just sushi.

These are my favorite sushi to draw, and probably to eat as well! I’m really really into Japanese food. Ask my husband - he is so sick or ordering sushi at this point!

One of the things I really love about doodling sushi is how it’s all very basic shapes. Just add some cute faces and brush and you have yourself some cuteness.

Finally, I wanted to leave you here with some expression ideas.

These will add more variety and interest to any of your doodles, not just sushi.

Oh and something else I wanted to mention: If you want to learn doodling, you can check my free course “7 Days To Stunning Doodles”, where I’ll share all you need to know to start doodling right away.

DOODLE WITH ME VIDEO

Here is a little time lapse of me doodling these cuties. As always note that I start from a pencil sketch of a basic shape, and then add more details with a pen.

FREE PRINTABLE

Want to practice your doodles?? I got you covered with this free printable.

You can use it to trace over and then try to doodle it yourself.
