Hi Everyone!
Happy 2026! This is Nolana Lynch (@nehlan.has.a.plan on Instagram and @nolanalynch on YouTube) and today I will be creating a creative weekly journal layout using the 2026 Songbird Dated Spiral Planner.
Supplies:-
Creating a Weekly Journal Layout
My goal for 2026 is to use the dated planners in a weekly journal format. I have always loved this format for planning and I have so enjoyed seeing it as a journal. I tried both the bound and the spiral, and decided (primarily because I am left-handed), to work with the spiral.
For this the last week of December, in to the first week of January, I decided to use the Kit Club - New Beginnings - with it’s beautiful purple and pink hues, as I felt it would be perfect to usher in the new year.
Process Video of how this layout came together
In this video I share the full creative process of bringing this layout together.
I kicked things off with the dates using the Legacy Ink - Raspberry as well as another Lilac ink for the outline. I quite love how this turned out! I then added in some of the washi strip stickers from the collection, as well as the lovely florals, and a couple of frames.
I then added in some of the other beautiful quote stickers, and felt like there were the perfect foundation/base to add in my journaling and any photos during the week.
All in all, I feel like I am well on my way to developing a wonderful journal practice for 2026! Wishing you all the best in your journal practice this year!
