It’s Char here from the Archer & Olive 2022 Design Team. Today, I’m going to show you how I created this super fun (and functional) Thanksgiving Event Planning Spread for your Bullet Journal.

While this spread is obviously seasonal, you could totally create a variation of it for any other holiday or event by changing out the doodles, colours, and fonts. This spread features flip through tabs to give you a ton of extra planning space all in the same spread.

Bullet Journal Supplies

Below is a rundown of some of the products I used to create this spread. If you would like to purchase any of these products, remember to use the code CHAR10 at checkout to save yourself some money!

• Neapolitan Dot Grid Journal - This journal has 3 different types of paper so you can choose between white, kraft, and blackout. I went with the kraft to keep with the warm, autumn tones.
• You can also do this spread on one of the Dot Grid Notepads, or on any of the other Dot Grid Journals if you only want to use one type of paper. 
• Acrylographs - I used a mixture of warm tones to do the doodles and lettering on this spread. I love how the opaque Acrylographs look on the warm toned kraft paper!
• Calliographs - I used the grey shade to add drop shadows to the lettering and doodles of this spread.
• White Gel Pen: I love how the white gel pen pops on the kraft paper, especially when complimented with a grey drop shadow.
• X-Acto Knife
• Cutting mat

Creating the Cutouts

I wanted this spread to have a ton of space for planning separate events, while keeping everything consolidated in the same page. To achieve this, I cut out several mini dutch-doors to create a flip through booklet with different tabs for each event. Make sure to use a cutting mat so that you don’t cut into the pages you’ll need!

If you’re hesitant to cut this many pages out of your journal, you can opt for adding pages in instead. To check out how to do that, check out my blogpost on a similar spread I did here (I want this to link to my blog on my winter bucket list, but it hasn’t been published yet!). 

Creating the Categories

I did three categories in this spread, but you can adjust for anything else that you may need depending on your event. Something less formal might require fewer categories, something more formal might require more.

Once you’ve gotten the structure of your spread down, you can decorate with something festive or on-theme with your event. I went with a simple title and some festive, warm-toned tall leaves.

Conclusion
