7 Ways To Use Your Travel Sized Journal

by Guest Blogger 24 Feb 2021 1 comment

Hey guys, Masha here from Masha Plans!

Today we will be talking about a travel journal.

Ever since Archer and Olive released their new travel sized journal I’ve been obsessing about it. But since I already have thousands of notebooks I had to be creative with how I’d use it.

I started thinking that, probably, I’m not the only one and you might be wondering how to use yours too. So today, we will be talking about some creative ways to use your travel notebook.

SUPPLIES

What will I use for this post? Of course, a travel-sized journal by Archer and Olive.

For my collection, I decided to use a Morning Star journal, its beautiful yellow color just charmed me as soon as I saw it.

And remember if you ever want to get yourself one, or pretty much buy anything from the Archer and Olive site you can always use code MASHA10 to get 10% off your order.

HANDWRITING PRACTICE

When you try to improve your handwriting it’s best to use grid paper, and a dot grid is just perfect for that.

You can use your travel journal to try out different fonts, analyze what you don’t like in your handwriting, and of course just practice and practice.

For practice, you can absolutely just use it as your diary, or maybe simply copy your favorite poems or quotes.

WORK PROJECTS

A travel-sized journal is great to use as a work notebook. Because of its convenient size it will be very easy to carry it with you when you go to work.

Whatever projects you need to tackle at work, you can do it with the help of your travel journal.

Personally, as a blogger and influencer, creating content regularly is the biggest project of them all, so that’s what I’m writing in my journal.

MEMORY KEEPING

Memory keeping is my favorite way to use pretty much any new journal, and this one is no exception.

Travel size means that it’s easy to carry with you so you can just take it to your next trip (when will these be possible again I wonder?!) and journal as you travel.

This can be a cute little book and the fact that the pages are smaller means that you can concentrate just on one big thing.

WELLNESS JOURNAL

Staying well and healthy is not an easy task, but your little journal can help you.

You can create here any types of spreads you need to make sure you’re well taken care of, both physically and mentally.

Personally, yoga and meditation have lately become a big part of my self care so I decided to create a little tracker to see my meditation progress.

POSITIVITY JOURNAL

Speaking of wellness, what I definitely need more in life right now is positivity.

There are so many things happening with the world and with me that I feel like I want to have a special journal just for happy things.

This can be anything you want - favorite quotes, self-care ideas, little washi tape swatches, daily gratitudes, affirmations - anything you want.

Personally, I find nothing is more powerful than words, so I decided to create a page with some of my favorite quotes and sayings. These always make me smile.

LANGUAGE LEARNING

Your travel journal can be an excellent companion to you if you decide to pick up a new language.

I personally started learning French this month and I’m using my travel journal to create small grammar cheat sheets. Very useful and easy to reference later.

BRAIN DUMP

A brain dump is a great way to unload your mind and feel less overwhelmed.

You definitely can use your travel journal as a notebook to put your brain into. This can be a golden mine of your ideas and to-do lists.

If you decide to recreate this theme in your Bullet Journal or use this printable, be sure to tag me @mashaplans and @archerandolive on Instagram, we would love to see your creations.

Keep Bullet Journaling and Don’t Be A Blob!

Love these tips! I’m going to start doodling now. I like words and science nerd definitions, so I’m going to go make my own book of definitions:)
