Bullet Journal Spreads To Help You With Your Holiday Budgeting

by Design Team 21 Jul 2021 0 Comments

Hey guys, Masha here from Masha Plans. Today we will be talking about holiday budgeting!

Holiday season is always very stressful. It’s full of wonderful worries and memories, but it can be pretty stressful and taxing to make sure everything is perfect.

But of course, your Bullet Journal can help you with that and today we’ll be creating a holiday budget spread to have you manage that busy time so you can just enjoy all the happy moments instead.

Be sure to check for a pretty cool free printable at the end of the post.

SUPPLIES

You can use anything you want of course, but here are some things I used for my setup:

  • This square Archer and Olive journal is my favorite for all things creative, including different collections like this one.
  • Acrylograph pens: I love using those, the colors are beautiful and these pens are probably my favorites at the moment for all things lettering.

Since this page is very business-like for me, I didn’t use many decorations - it was all straight to the point. You have to have it all figured out, no distractions!

If you’re wondering what exact pens these are, they’re from the exclusive Plan Based Bride and Archer and Olive collaboration. Perfect colors for the holiday season!

  • Pencil and eraser - I always prepare my pages before using pen on them, this helps for them to look better and much neater. Mistakes still happen though.

STEP 1

I recommend you start your budget from creating a list of things you’ll need to spend money on.

Here, I created different categories I usually need. In each category I’ll be writing items and the price.

As you can see, there is also a separate area for a final budget of the category.

I used here acrylograph pens to make the headers stand out and the whole page being a little bit more in holiday mood.

You’ll notice that I have very little space for each category, but this is just because I think it looks prettier if I skip a line between things. You can actually just go and write in each line to get more space.

STEP 2

Create your final budget page.

Here you have to have an area for your budget all together, and then little areas for how much money you want to assign for each category.

This is a pretty simple one to set up as well, since we are going for the straight to business look.

holiday lists

I did end up realizing that you don’t really need such a huge page for a final budget, so I added a little quote.

You can also absolutely use this space to write more items that are on your to-buy list for a perfect holiday season.

Well, this is pretty much it! Put these two pages next to each other and you’ll have all the information you need to plan for a stress free and affordable holiday season!

FREE PRINTABLE

How could I leave you without a printable - here for you is a budget page you can use right away!

If you want to make it more fun - just use your acrylograph pens to add color, or some washi tape to make it more interesting .
