Celebrate Mom with three heartfelt, easy-to-make paper crafts, including custom punch cards and a paper bouquet, plus a free printable to make your handmade gifting as simple as it is special.

Handmade gifts carry a special kind of magic that store-bought items just can't match, so I’m sharing three easy paper crafts—complete with a free printable—to inspire you to create something truly heart-felt for Mom this year. Hi! I’m Shelby or @shelbyonpapaer on Instagram, and I’m sharing some easy DIY gifts perfect for Mother’s Day!

1. PUNCH CARDS

Our first craft is a customizable Mother’s Day Punch Card, decorated using collage papers from the Everyday Theme Kit. A punch card is a playful way to track a goal or a series of treats—think of it as a "loyalty card" for Mom’s favorite things! She can use it to track trying new recipes, completing a "no-spend" week, going on a number of runs or working out, or finishing a summer reading list, and once every spot is punched, she gets to redeem it for a special reward!

This is super easy to make, just cut a small card shape out of your favorite paper to get started. I like the convenience of an Everyday Theme Kit because it comes with a bunch of collage papers, stickers, and washi tape that keep everything cohesive with a specific color palette and complimentary patterns. To create the "punch" spots, simply draw rows of small circles or hearts, use fun stickers that fit the theme, or cut pieces of washi tape to mark each milestone she’ll reach on her way to that well-deserved reward!

2. COUPONS

Next up are the Mother’s Day Coupons, which are essentially "golden tickets" for Mom to redeem whenever she needs a little extra pampering or a helping hand. These are such a hit because they offer the gift of time and relaxation—think Breakfast in Bed, Movie Night (Mom’s Choice), Home Cooked Meal, or One Week of Trash Duty.

To make this step even easier, I’ve created a free printable with a blank coupon template so you can skip straight to the fun part, creating the coupons. Once you have your coupons cut out, I like to add a fun background with the collage papers to make it stand out as well as add some stability. From there all you need to do is add in your own personalized favors!

3. FLOWER BOUQUET

To round out our homemade gifts, we have the Flower Bouquet, a beautiful everlasting arrangement that’s crafted entirely from paper. This could be a stand-alone gift but also double as the perfect way to display the punch cards and coupons we made by simply tucking them right in among the flowers.

First is to make the bouquet holder, we need to fold a piece of craft paper into the right shape with three simple folds and taping the end over to seal everything in place.

For the flowers and leaves, there’s no need for complex templates—just grab your Calliograph Pens and draw organic floral shapes and leafy vines directly onto your favorite collage papers and green cardstock. Once you’ve cut them out, you can layer them for depth and arrange them inside your paper wrap, creating a vibrant, personalized bouquet that Mom can keep forever!

To add that final touch, tie a ribbon or twine bow around the bottom of the paper cone to hold everything together and give it a polished, gift-wrapped feel. Using your favorite Calliograph Pen, write a heartfelt "Happy Mother’s Day" right on the front of the wrap so she knows exactly who this special creation is for. Finally, don't be afraid to scatter a few more stickers from the Everyday Theme Kit across the bouquet to pull the whole look together—it’s those little details that truly make a handmade gift shine!
