How To Create A Cozy Gingham Bullet Journal Theme Cover Page

by Design Team 11 Aug 2021 2 Comments

Hello hello! It’s Nabaa here from @whimsical.doodles on Instagram! For today’s blog post, I’m going to show you how I created this super cute yet SUPER SIMPLE (Seriously it took me less than 10 minutes!) gingham themed cover page.

Recommended Bullet Journaling Supplies:

    • Archer and Olive Notebook – I’m currently using the A5 Falling Skies notebook! But you can get 10% off any A&O product using my affiliate code WHIMSICAL10 :)
    • Markers of your choice - I used a Crayola and a Karin Marker because those are what I had on hand in the colours I wanted!
    • Kraft Paper
    • White Sakura Gelly Roll

Step 1

Start by drawing alternate row lines using your marker - this will work with any colour but you want to use a lighter shade of the colour you’re using!

Leave space for 2-3 darker lines of colour and line your whole page both horizontal and vertical using your lighter base colour!

Step 2

Add in 2-3 lines of the darker colour both horizontally and vertically! If you’re like me and mess up counting out your lines, fill in the extra space using thinner lines like I’ve done below

Step 3

Add in your monthly title! I used a bit of scrap kraft paper in the centre of the page to add in my month!

Final Step!

This is entirely optional but I added some dried flowers and washi tape to decorate the page a little more. I love how this cover page turned out and even more so because it was easy to put together!
