Kit Club 101 & How to Create 3 Bullet Journal Spreads

Hi, it’s Delphine. In today’s blog, I’ll be breaking down everything you need to know about the Kit Club and showing you how I used one kit to create three different spreads. Whether you’re a Kit Club subscriber or just curious, this is for you!

Hi everyone, it’s Delphine (@delphinesjournal) from the Archer and Olive (@archerandolive) ambassador team. If you’ve been following along with my 2025 bullet journal, you’ve probably noticed the Kit Club making quite a few appearances. In today’s blog, I’ll be breaking down everything you need to know about the Kit Club and showing you how I used one kit to create three different spreads. Whether you’re a Kit Club subscriber or just curious, this post is for you!

What’s the Kit Club?

A Kit Club is a monthly subscription from Archer & Olive where you’ll find everything you need to create a cohesive theme. No more brainstorming themes or hunting for matching stationery… the colors, patterns and designs are already curated to be cohesive!

Each kit includes:

  • Three designs of washi tape (two meters of each design)
  • Seven sticker sheets, with both decorative and planning stickers
  • Eight sheets of paper (two of each design, with half of them plain and the other half patterned)
  • A bonus item
  • A clear binder sleeve for easy storage

The cost of the subscription is $25 a month.

How do you use the Kit Club?

If you have a planner or a bullet journal, the Kit Club is perfect for adding visual interest and decorations to your spreads without requiring particular artistic skills.

In the YouTube video below, you can watch me create three different spreads in my bullet journal using a single Kit Club.

For now, let me show you an overview of what I made!

Spread #1: A cover page

Cover pages set the tone for the entire month, and I love to use one of the bigger stickers from the Kit Club as my focal point. From there, I choose two to three decorative papers to layer around my title. I cut them into different sizes and use my corner rounder to create more depth to the final layout. To add a final touch, I scatter smaller stickers around the page, layer some washi tapes and leave plenty of white space to make the composition more dynamic.

Spread #2: A calendar

I’m going to be honest: I love a simple, clean calendar. It makes the double page spread less overwhelming and more cohesive, especially when decorative elements are incorporated. For this layout, I went with a vertical calendar and used the Kit Club planning stickers for the days of the week. To add a pop of color, I highlighted the top row using a Calliograph using a shade that complemented the kit’s color scheme. At the bottom of this spread, I also created small collage to tie everything together.

Spread #3: A weekly spread

This weekly layout is one I continuously go back to whenever the month starts mid-week. Basically, this type of weekly spread allows me to fit more than seven days, while including extra boxes for a to-do list, an important section and another one for reflection. It’s flexible, functional and leaves plenty of room for a collage!

Why should you use the Kit Club?

If you’re pressed for time, using the Kit Club to set up your monthly theme is a lifesaver! You don’t have to draw, paint or spend time planning color schemes, and with a couple of layers of paper, washi tape and stickers, you can create a monthly theme in no time!

I also reach for Kit Clubs whenever I’m in a creative rut or feel uninspired. Sometimes, I just don’t feel like drawing or painting, and I’ve learned not to force it. But there’s something satisfying about still creating a theme for the month!

Finally, the Kit Club is perfect if you’re new to bullet journal and you haven’t acquired a ton of stationery items, but you still wish to dive into collages.

Could you purchase the Kit Club separately?

Absolutely! If you’re not ready to commit to a monthly subscription, you can buy older Kit Clubs individually under the Themed Planning Kits tab on Archer & Olive’s website. Keep in mind that since they’re not a subscription, they cost $35 instead of $25.

Final thoughts
