Quarter 2: Mindful Mark-Making
Mindfulness is a state of being fully present in what you are doing, leaving outside distractions behind, allowing relaxation and calm. Mark-making is one way to facilitate a state of mindful awareness. In this box, we’ll take a wonderful trip through the relaxing world of mark-making as we couple shimmery pearlescent watercolor brushstrokes with fun patterns and layers using opaque gel pens in metallic and blue hues.

1 - ¾” flat wash paintbrush
1 - Petal shaped paint palette
Set of 2 washi tape rolls (¼” and ⅛”)
1 - 8x8 Softcover Sketchbook with 20 pages of thick art paper (black)
1 - 8x8 Softcover Sketchbook with 20 pages of thick watercolor paper (white)

Unbound 2: Mark-Making Project Supplies
With the contents of this box, Lori will help you explore a variety of mark-making techniques, prompts, and styles including majestic mosaics, repeating patterns with geometric and organic shapes by drawing inspiration from the various shapes and patterns all around us. No drawing skills required! If you can make a mark on a page, you can do this project!
With Lori’s detailed guidance, you’ll finish the course with a sketchbook of ideas, marks and patterns to use and explore further, including making beautiful art pieces and unique note cards to share, frame or simply enjoy for yourself.

UNBOUND is a guided creative experience designed to remove barriers and give you everything you need to start benefiting from creativity for your mental wellness. The experience will include a curated box of supplies and detailed video tutorials from an experienced artist.
Taking time to do something you enjoy, especially something creative, can positively benefit your mental health— but it can be difficult to know where to start or how to find the time. Life can move quickly with schedules, to-do lists, daily tasks, and unexpected things that pop up. We spend more and more time on our phones, computers, in meetings, or scrolling— and less time doing what truly brings us joy. We hope UNBOUND helps you break through these barriers to creativity by offering guided experiences and creative projects that are:

Each quarter we will release fun, approachable projects with a valuable creative experience that we hope will leave you feeling encouraged, enlightened, and UNBOUND.
Meet Your Guide
To guide you through your creative journey, our resident artist and educator Lori George will be creating inspiring projects with guided instruction.
Lori George, an artist and educator, lives in the Midwest with her husband, four children, and Sunny, her beloved Great Pyrenees.
Creativity has played an important role in Lori’s life by helping her manage stress, anxiety, and grief.
Her hope is that these guided experiences will help you find a voice through expression, peace through the mindfulness of tactile experiences, and provide a much needed break from the day-to-day.
