Wellness Check-Ins: The Perfect Way to Use your Journal to Check-In with the Quality Activities that Improve your Life!

Hi, Nolana here to share with you a quality-based wellness check-in layout. Using any wellness-related layout is a great way to incorporate journaling into your daily wellness.

Hi Everyone!

Nolana (@nehlan.has.a.plan) here on the blog today with a quality-based wellness check-in layout using my B5 Snowdrops journal. I absolutely adore this journal and thought it would be great for Wellness-related layouts.

Wellness Journal Layout using Minty Fresh Kit Club

This one took a while for me to figure out as it is 2026, and my aim is to do these layouts in a new journal which focuses on things that bring my joy in this season. I remembered my obsession with the Snowdrops journal, soft, minty debossed linen, and it felt perfect for these type of layouts. For this wellness check-in layout, I also took some time going through my stash to see which kits, washi, elements and so forth would be the perfect vibe for this. Luckily, the Minty Fresh kit had recently arrived and it was so soothing and filled with self-care images. PERFECTION!

Journal with Skincare, Exercise and other Wellness Activities

I thought about the various ways this layout could look - from a tracking type layout, to a full page of journaling about my struggles with wellness as a mother of two little ones, but thought I’d focus on a range of things that improved my wellness this month, including our holiday, self-care activities, spa visits, along with exercise and food intake - GOODBYE Sugar-free January. These are all things that I need to be very intentional about, meticulously planning it into my day and always keeping my core values at the centre of it all.

Sugar-Free January Reflection

One of the things we enjoy doing as a family is travel, and our trip to New Zealand was definitely a high point. We originally had a 4 week holiday planned with various country destinations, but decided to cancel it all and do 2 weeks in New Zealand - which was perfect my soul and well-being at the time. With children, it was great being able to drive around, we chose four main towns / areas to visit, and spent approximately four nights at each stop. We looked for kid-friendly activities to do with the children which included a boat ride in each town - and this offered a great beautiful perspective on the area we were staying in at the time. The kids particularly loved the Duck tour as it did both on-land tour of Rotorua with all the beautiful parks, sulphur pools and lakes, as well as went in to the water and “drove” around a lake - my son was enthused and the baby fell asleep! This holiday was the right amount of time and activities to feel do-able and not stressful.

Creating the Layout in my Journal

Close Ups of B5 Wellness Journal Layout

I started things off with creating sections across my journal page using the washi strip stickers and I love how that turned out. My sections were based on Food - wrapping up my experience with Sugar-Free January this month, the holiday, Exercise - we got lots of steps in each day, as well as additional workouts together while the kids played, Spa Treatments and Skincare - I have been obsessing over some new skin care finds, and did quite a few treatments before leaving for our trip and within our trip - these are always quite relaxing for me.

I then added deco stickers that matched these various sections. Once this was all set up, I wrote in my journaling, creating headings using a mix of Calliographs that matched my spread. It all came together beautifully.

One of the things I love about these check-ins is that it turns out to be quite uplifting and focuses on the overall good from the month. It is so easy to forget what we’ve actually done! I believe in intentionally and kindly checking in on our wellness practices as a key indicator to our overall wellbeing.
