3 Essential Bullet Journal Spreads for Students

by Content Team 25 Aug 2023 0 Comments

Hi! My name is Sofia and I run @iridescentstudies on Instagram and YouTube. I’ve been bullet journaling since I was a high school freshman and this year marks my 5th year of bullet journaling!

Throughout my journey, I’ve experimented with a variety of spreads and ideas for my bujo. Today, I want to share some of my favorite spreads and a few tips I have learned for students for this school year!

For all my spreads, I will be using a B5 A&O notebook!

1 - Sticker Weekly Spread!

Bullet Journal Spread Supplies:

Some weeks I could never find the time to spend more than 10 minutes on a spread. One of the easiest spreads a student can do is to use stickers to decorate a minimal spread! This spread below took me less than 10 minutes to complete with just a few supplies!

I created 3 boxes on each page to write my daily tasks in with an A&O vintage denim pen. Next, I added circles at the bottom of each box to fill in the date with A&O barely blue. Last but not least, I decorated my spread with stickers and added a simple quote!

2 - Weekly Schedule & Important Date Overview

Spread Supplies:

Though I usually have monthly calendars to place dates and important information, I love to create a spread in my bujo with the classes I am taking and color code them with the dates that assignments are due throughout the semester. This helps me to look ahead on important dates throughout the semester. Additionally, I love having a physical copy of my schedule so I can see how to block out my time for my academics.

For this spread, I blocked out my time  for my classes and used the mildliner highlighters to color code each of the classes for the semester. For any date where there is an event for the class, I filled in the date with the color of the corresponding class. I used the A&O paint pens to add embellishments and to write on top of black ink.

3 - Time-block Weekly spread

If you prefer to block out time instead of checking off tasks in your bujo, this spread is perfect for you! I love using this spread when I have a hectic schedule that I need to remember for the week. If you don't have a bullet journal, feel free to use my printable! Watch the timelapse below to see how I made this spread to block off time for my classes!

I would like to end this blog with some advice! Find what works best for you! Sometimes structured spreads work well, but other times rolling spreads are great for busy weeks. Make your bullet journal for yourself!
